About the conference

Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) is an international program created to allow 11 to 14 year old girls attending public or private schools to discover the numerous careers available in the areas of science and technology.

This event has been organised in collaboration with the University of Geneva & the Département de l’Instruction Publique de la Culture et du Sport de Genève (DIP).

Many young women don’t know about the numerous, fun and interesting careers that have their foundations in the areas of science and technology. At the EYH Science & Technology Event 2011, you will spend a socially interactive day learning from fascinating women who are paid to play, think and solve interesting and important problems.

Through hands-on workshops you will find out what it is like to work in some of these different careers. As a participant you will have the opportunity to interact with professional women who work in a variety of fields and to meet other girls who share your interests.
