About the conference

Each year WISE sponsors the Expanding Your Horizons conference, which provides middle school and high school aged students with an opportunity to get excited about science, engineering, technology and math! At EYH, students participate in hands-on scientific workshops, interact with role models, listen to a variety of professionals speak about a typical day on their job, and experience what a day on campus at the University of Arizona feels like. The conference is always inspirational, fun and engaging!

Over 300 middle and high school students from all over southern Arizona registered for EYH 2012. Due to the popularity of this event we have split this year’s EYH into two conferences. This year there will be a fall Expanding Your Horizon’s Conference for College Bound students on November 3, 2012. The Expanding Your Horizon’s Conference in the spring will be for students interested in exploring careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics on March 2nd, 2013. We hope you will join us! Find out more about the National Expanding Your Horizons Organization by going to the National EYH Website and watch a video of girls enjoying an EYH event.
